Really Live

“So the two men in great grandfather’s stories really lived?” “Yes they really lived!”

They really lived. They did not just breath, they lived! They did something worthwhile with their lives. They did not stand idly by and let time slip away. They used the time they had been given wisely. Their life was not useless. They lived! They made a difference, they lived for something. Something that was right. They stood for character. They fought for it. They lived. Those two men knew what was important to them, and they worked for it. They were not afraid of work, they were afraid of not working. They had a reason to live, they wanted a reason to live. They lived.

Am I living? Is there something I am living for? Standing for? Fighting for? What is worthwhile to me? What do I count as important? I want to be a world changer, I need to live in a way that will change the world. I need to really live, not just breath. I need to do something, I need a purpose! I must stand for what is right. I must fight for it. I must live! I have a purpose, that purpose is to glorify God. I must stand for His word and what He says is right. I must be willing to put on His armor and fight for Him. I must live for Him. I need to get to the end of my days and be called a true and faithful servant. If that name does not apply to me, I will not have lived. My life is a failure if I cannot serve God faithfully. My life is a failure if I fail Him. I must serve. I must fight. I must live, really live! “Lord, help me get to the end of my days so that it can be said of me, ‘She really lived for the Lord!’”
